Although it’s been a while since our AGM I’m very pleased to be re-elected as president for the coming 12
months. As you know Russell is still doing a great job as secretary and Chris is taking to his position as treasurer like a
duck to water.
We now have much better communication with each other with the SMS service provided with our mobile phone.
This has been working extremely well and is a trouble free way of informing all our members of ride plans, meeting
reminders or other events which come up. Please don’t hesitate to use this service if you are planing a ride or know of
an event that may interest us. There has been plenty of riding happening lately as a result, which is what it’s all about.
I hope all our members and their families have had a great Christmas and holiday period and I wish you all a safe and
prosperous New Year.
BITS AND PIECES
At our December meeting there was more talk regarding the club buying a helmet-cam. As this subject has been going
on for several years and the club has a healthy bank balance. Barney moved the motion that the club investigate
which brand would ve the best for us and purchase it. This was carried and Townsy was put in charge to do this so
hopefully in the next few months we will be able to get it all happening.
As Dallas mentioned in his President Report the club phone has been working very well and has been a great asset.
The phone numbers is on the Club Detail Page for anyone who needs to use it.
The Clubs end of year Breakup Date has been set for Sat 19th Jan at the Inlet Hotel in Inverloch. Going on previous
years it should be a great night out for all the members and partners. A courtesy bus is going to be arranged to leave
the Miners Rest at 6.30pm. The club is going to provide some drinks for all the members that are present. You must
let the secretary know if you are going by Thursday the 17th , so he can finalise the booking.
On the same day as the breakup, Sat 19th Jan, Townsy is having a ride at his farm near the MX track at around 12.00.

The Woods Point ride was held in early December and it was a fantastic weekend with around 22 riders. There will be
a full fide report in the next issue but briefly we did around 100km ‘s on the Saturday with the only drama being a
broken chain and on Sunday we did about 130-140 Km’s on great trails. There were several new riders in the group
who all had a great time.
ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES
Joe sold his 06 KTM 450 several months ago to a guy from Melbourne. As of recently he was still unsure what to
replace it with.
Barney go the chance to buy Bulldogs 07 KTM 450 and snapped it up. Damn happy with it too! (except for the flats; 2
rides, 2 punctures). He now has a GAS GAS 300 all ready for a new owner to come along. See Classified
Dallas has now got another addition to his ever-growing stable of bikes (kids bikes, dirt bikes) with a 90 Model CBR
1000 Santa was feeling very generous, apparently.
Townsy has just brought an 08 KTM 450 and is in the process of changing all the “bling” over from his 07 Model. His
07 is no up for sale. See Classified.

wooped out. Friday, day ride around Big Desert, stayed at Murrayville again. Saturday rode Borders tract to Frances
and stayed. Sunday rode through little Desert back to Dimboolla.
